Almost

Almost, practically, nearly.
Used to describe a situation where something is almost or practically the same or close to another action, but isn't exactly the same.
Example
  • 남자는 매일 집에서 살다시피 해요.
    He practically lives at home every day.
  • 비가 너무 많이 와서 물에 잠기다시피 했어요.
    It rained so much that it was practically flooded.
  • 여자는 삼겹살을 주식으로 하다시피 해요.
    She practically lives on pork belly as her staple food.

Comparison

다시피 하다 and (으)ㄹ 뻔하다 can have the same English meaning, but they are different. 다시피 하다 is that something happened and is almost similar to another action, whereas (으)ㄹ 뻔하다 just means something almost happened, but it did not.
