Describe a certain fact, ask a question, give an order, or advise.
Example
  • 학교에 가요.
    I go to school.
  • 여자는 진짜 예뻐요.
    That girl is really pretty.
  • 날씨가 정말 좋아요.
    The weather is really nice.
  • 사람은 어디에 살아요?
    Where does that person live?

Usage

V+아/어/여 is one of the most common verb endings in Korean. Also note that it is very common that V+아/어/여 is used along with V+요 to make the sentence polite.
