Theoretical Or

-라든가 is used to list various descriptions that can be selected. (ㄴ)다든가 follows verbs or adjectives to list various propositions that can be selected. These descriptions or propositions are mainly theoretical, which is the distinction between this grammar and -든가.

• 집에 누군가 찾아오지는 않았습니까? 아니면 전화가 걸려왔다든가...

  Did no one come by the house? Or make a call or something...
• 요즘 미나에게 고민거리 같은 건 없었니? 성적이라든가, 가족 문제라든가. 남자친구와 싸웠다든가 하는 거 말이야.

  Was Mina worried about anything recently? Like grades, family problems, or something like fighting with her boyfriend.
• 이 답장을 보내기 위해 저는 말도 안 되는 계획을 실행할 예정이고, 그 결과로 유치장에 갇힌다든가 연구원직을 박탈당한다든가 하는 상당한 징계를 받게 되겠죠.
