Usage

When the word ends in a vowel or ㄹ, we add 로 after it.
When the word ends with a consonant, add 으로 after the word.

N+(으)로 (Direction) VS N+에 (Direction)

The (으)로 particle highlights direction, allowing for the use of terms that indicate directions such as "left, right". This contrasts with the 에 particle, which focuses on the destination element within the sentence. Since "left, right" indicate direction rather than specific destinations, they cannot be used with the 에 particle.
