Usage

It is worth noting that in very rare cases this grammar can show up separated as, for example, 좋다 말다 instead of 좋다마다. If you see something like 좋다 말다 then it will likely be something more common such as V+다가 + 말다 to mean "it was almost good...", but it is possible for such a phrase to be this grammar and take on a positive meaning.
