Old Fashioned Command

Used to give commands. Old-fashioned compared to -아라/어라/해라. NOTE: -너라 has the same meaning, but is used exclusively with -오다 verbs.
Example
  • 빨리 먹거라.
    Eat quickly.
  • 천천히 놀다 가거라.
    Take your time hanging out before you go.
  • 지금 당장 교실로 가거라. 선생님이 기다리신다.
    Go to your classroom immediately. Your teacher is waiting.
  • 어서 나오너라.
    Come out quickly.

Negative forms

Commanding someone to not do something uses the negative form 지 말거라
