드리다 is usually added to nouns expressing some sort of (formal) action. The action's recipient is someone who would usually be honored in formal or polite situations.
In cases when 드리다 expresses doing an action respectfully, it is directly attached to the noun. However, if you are giving a physical object to someone honorable, you space it.
