  • 택시를 타는 비해 기차를 타는 싸요.
    Taking the train is much cheaper than taking a taxi.
  • 우리 아버지가 사진 비하면 실물이 훨씬 낫거든요.
    My father looks better in real life compared to the pictures.

Usage

  • This grammar is a more formal variant of -보다.
  • As seen in the first example, when comparing two actions or states, you would use a nominalizer like 는/(으)ㄴ/(으)ㄹ 것 or 데.
  • The form using 비하면 is less common than 비해(서).
